What I have bolded isnt fact. Its a oppinion that can not even be validated because you would have to have a world without the UN to compare with to be able to even have a basis for that statement.
"Their inability/unwillingness to act in response to aggression has cost many more thousands of lives than they have saved in their "humanitarian efforts". This is a FACT. More have died from their unwillingness to act than they have saved via humanitarian efforts. The UN is not a religion, yet you follow it as though it were...........

You do know that disease like malaria kill far more people than war does right? and UN is busy fighting that disease. So I would bet that the UN has saved far more lifes. So its not a fact it is just your oppinion that you havent backed up yet in anyway.

I dont think the UN is perfect. But its the best we got and I would rather make sure it becomes better than to just complain about what makes it bad. For instance get rid of veto rights.

Also how many have died from there unwillingnes to act? Give me a number and a few exampels.

How do you expect the UN to act anyway with the weak mandates they have?

    My oppinion?

He was just a communist scum.

    This quote says it all

Guevara played a key role in bringing to Cuba the Soviet nuclear-armed ballistic missiles that precipitated the Cuban Missile Crisis in October 1962. During an interview with the British newspaper Daily Worker some months later, he stated that, if the missiles had been under Cuban control, they would have fired them against major U.S. cities.[24]
