Sooner or later even Russia and China will understand that oil is not as important as life. The viral spread of radical Islam has already effected every nation on the planet, even Muslim countries are not immune.
The fact that Iran can hold hands with so called allies for a photo op, but aid and supply there destruction behind closed doors is not suppressing, but we will see how long they can keep it up.
The sooner the world can move away from oil, the sooner nations like Iran, Syria, and others will be thrown to the curb.

Im suprised Russia could tollerate that crap from Iran. Russia is a net oil exporter anyway right? In that case they dont need Irani oil for any energy security reason.

I have not found any information on Russian imports of Iranian oil, but have found tons of info on energy related deals. China and Russia have several multibillion-dollar oil and natural gas projects hanging in the balance with Iran, and China depends on Iran's imports to quench its growing oil thirst. $70 billion oil and natural gas agreement with Iran, which is China's biggest energy deal with the #2 OPEC producer. Iran is also committed to export 150,000 barrels per day of crude oil to China for 25 years.
And yes you are right. We as a people have done far too little in terms of developing alternative energy, and I fear it will be quite a disaster when we take the issue seriously. But this is off toppic......Last edited by singern; 08-19-2006 at 01:18 PM.
