    Barney Frank vs Harvard kid

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid...r_economy.html

Haha...this kid asks Barney Frank if he feels he should take some amount of responsibility for the current state of the economy...check out Frank's reaction. What a douche.

I dont see the problem, if he wasnt even involved for a few months at that point how is it his fault.

Barney Frank and his committee oversaw Fannie and Freddie, the two government sponsored lending agencies which are effectively bankrupt. He told people that they were "fundamentally sound" and "not in danger of going under" addding they are "in good shape going forward." He oversaw the largest financial collapse in federal history.

Well, as everyone can clearly see, this is not the case. He is not at fault, but he had a part to play in it as did many others. As most others are doing, he is deferring blame and failing to accept the responsibility he owes to Americans as a public servant.

I see it like this: If no one is willing to accept their fair share of the blame for our horrendous economic problems, then no one is going to change what they are doing...sending us further and further down the spiral. The attitude Barney Frank has adopted is far too common among the House and Senate.

If it were the private sector he would've been gone a long time ago.

I just find it funny how the kid asks a very simple question, and Frank goes off on a rant about right-wing attacks and such and such. The answer could have been very short and not so long winded. A simple "no" would have been sufficient.

    yah, I'll give you that.

The kid was calm and collected. and Frank went off on an unrelated tirade.

As much as I hate Bwarney Fwank, the kid just was no match for him. His arguement was weak and debating skills were weaker.

Well when he starts yelling and blathering about shit that has nothing to do with the kids original question, what do you expect him to do? Granted, the kid shouldve been way more assertive.

No, I agree, but that's what politicians do best is avert questions. The kid should have expected that.

True. The kid was ill-prepared for his response.

Exactly. It scares me see that the vast majority of them don't think they have any blame to accept. Shitbagging at the highest levels of government, scary.
