Hi Folks. 36 y/o male
Hiya.
I've been reading these boards for years and only recently started posting. Amazing how much info is here. it'd make a good book if someone could organize it all
I figured I'd say hello to everyone here in over 30. I work a desk job, as I have my whole life. I havent ever really been that active of a person either. Just the gym. Now that I figured out i'm getting older, I'm starting to think about losing weight and working the most important muscle. Also maybe putting on maybe 5-10 lbs of muscle(i'm pretty happy with my size). Maybe by the summer doing a cycle or 2.
I guess my genes are pretty good as I am more fit and look younger than most 20+ year olds that I work with. My scale says that I'm at 16.5% BF. But I question it's acuracy
thanks for all the great info.

Good choice to start getting busy with your health and fitness. Good luck and Livestrong!

thanks a ton! comments like that will make me keep going and work harder! I'm 6 weeks into diet and cardio and it's hard to be consistently good this far in for me.
I'm not sure what stats would be helpful but here are some.
5'11
208 lbs
17" arms
17" neck
I've pushed 315 on a barbell flat bench before, but after a dislocation and several breaks on a bad motorcycle accident, I take it easy on anything shoulder now.
I'm really looking forward to continue to shred fat this spring and summer. I've never had a flat stomach in my life, but never really been chubby either. That's a big goal of mine this year is the abs. and be heart smart.
I'm currently on a high protein and 2000 cal/day diet. it seems to be working fairly well. I think i'm like most people, I can do anything really for a week. it gets harder as time goes on to keep it up. I'm on week 6 right now of cardio and diet.
