Does Proscar protect against TEST side effects?

Hey, could use some help. Last used AS 8 years ago when competing. Am thinking of using test for "replacement therapy." When on AS, had hair loss and prostate swelling. Anybody know if Proscar will prevent these side effects? At what dose (comes in 5 mg). Btw, 54 yo here. Thanks.

Proscar aka Propecia, in 5mg, reduces the the derivative of Test, DHT. The latter is the main culprit in hairloss and to my knowledge prostate issues. Hence, no they will not prevent the stated side effects but yes they will significantly control them.
