    Stopping Cypionate

I just turned 40 and have been injecting cypionate 200mg 1x /week for the past year. My test level before starting was 300. I stopped injecting about three weeks ago and just had my test level checked which is 1296. The reason I stopped was because my red blood cells and hemoglobin were slightly elevated and my doctor advised me against continuing.. However, I suspected my rbc and hmg were due to dehydration so I drank a lot of water the night before and the morning of my recheck and guess what? Everything was normal. I had my recheck done approximately 1 week after the first check. Now, I'm waiting on my next shipment of test to arrive. Now in the meantime I'm experiencing the symptoms of testosterone leaving my body and I don't like it. I feel weak and irritable. Does anyone know how long your level stays low before your natural testosterone starts climbing? And has anyone else experienced a rise in their red blood cells and hemoglobin but continued their plan anyway?

    Thanks
    Lg

    Lg,

There are a few things that are very concerning about your post. First of all, you must plan your availability of meds well in advance so that you don't run out in the middle of a cycle or disrupt your TRT. It is very important to maintain the amount of Test in your blood for the entire time you are planning on running it. When you come off Testosterone , which most of us do at some point, you need to run a Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) consisting of one or more meds that are intended to stimulate your body's natural Testosterone production processes and address the problem of Estrogen build-up at the conclusion of a cycle or period of TRT. Clomid is the one most commonly used.

I'm not sure from your message but, it sounds to me like you haven't done enough research into the subject before engaging in the use of AS. This can be dangerous and detrimental to your overall health. I'd recommend that you discontinue the use of these meds until you're a lot more familiar with all of the aspects of their use. Also, read the posts on this site regarding PCT right away and hopefully get hold of some Clomid so that you don't experience a drastic crash and disruption of your whole hormone balance. It won't kill you but, it won't be pleasant.

Above all, do your homework before administering any more drugs.

    ^^^ agreed

you don't want to have your blood levels spike and then drop. that is what causes nasty side effects. the body likes homeostasis or balance

It takes 18 days from your last shot for test cyp to be out of your system.

rise in RBC is natural....if you are concerned, go donate blood before you start up again and as stated you need a better plan

    TRT is usually for life

I did do a little research before starting on Cypionate and I do remember asking my Doc about PCT when I first started but he said that I was on such a low dose (200mg/week) that I shouldn't be concerned about it. After reading the replies to my message and more PCT info on this site, it makes me pissed at my doctor for not letting me know. I relied on him to guide me through the process.

It has been almost a month since stopping my test. For the past couple of weeks I have been feeling a little weak and irritable. Today it seems that I have more energy. Maybe my natural level is coming up???... Is it too late to start on Clomid? Should I check my test levels before the Clomid? I definitely will not be starting back on my Cypionate any time soon without learning the more.

    Thanks for the replies,
    LG

What you have to understand about doctors, is that there true steroid knowledge is very limited.

its like only one class out of the thousands that they had when becoming doctors. They have NO real world experience on steroids

So, you come to the right place

How long before you can get back on the Test?

    Thats true!

Iam young M.D. and what know my colleagues about steroids ? Nothink! Unless ist some urologist or endocrinologist but even with this specialisation they are out some time.

They know about "great danger" but specification is poor or nonsence. Its mad world where people who know nothink are dictating to others what they have to do!

I never had any class in my medicine study about AAS!!! Just one page in one book about testosterone and his derivates who are misused in sport like nandrolone and stanazolole. No specification just let you know in pharmacology about existence... so what you can think than Dr. who is not using AAS can know about them?!
