    Talking Old Newb Checking Into the Nursing Home Forum

    Hey all! 40 year old newb here. Just wanted to chime in and say how much I have enjoyed the forum over the past couple of days. I have read until my eyes bleed and am ready to join the aging masses in this forum. Thanks to all who have pointed me in the right direction and put me on the path of ultra-knowledge. Especially all who sent me to the diet vid section where I have spent assloads of time getting my knowledge on - and I thought I was well versed in diet! - and to all others for the warm welcome and knowledge.

    I have been apprehensive/nervous and researching for awhile now (a couple years here and there) but just as of late signed up to two forums to learn as much as possible to figure out if I wanted to cycle or not.

    During the process, I realized:

    A) I need to COMPLETELY drop the winter fat before the cycle

    B) my diet is pretty damn good BUT could use some tweaking

    C) the cycle that I had planned had to many chemicals and the SERM & PCT needed (needs) tweaking

    D) my memory is not what it used to be -- how many names, vowels, abbreviations and slang can you have for one fargin piece of gear!

    F) the only thing i'm apprehensive about anymore is my already follicularly challenged skull! and finally..

    G) Ajax sticky was some crazy cool motivation!

    Anyway, my beginning post "40 year old newb would like some advice.." which i posted 3 days ago seems like eons ago. I have read so many posts and gained soo much info that I think I have a much more solid grasp and finally feel like I may not **** this up!

    I still have many a question for all and am glad Sir Slimy pointed me to the old fart arena. Most of the questions that I have are directed towards age issues and how to go about doing things the PROPER way at our age.

    As stated earlier, I am dropping to my normal weight before I begin and would actually like to be under that before I start. I put in the post my weight as 193 but that is my normal carry around weight. I was 198.6 when posted and weighed in at 194 1/2 this morn. I haven't done my homework on thermogenics but would they be beneficial before a cycle? Or even harmful before a cycle?

    I'm in pretty good condition as is but am crazy about the details and would like to go in feeling completely squared away.

    From what i've read of clen your cardio takes a dip which is definitely not what I want beforehand. I've got time if it would be better to drop naturally - it doesn't really take much for me to lose anyway. Although I haven't seen an ab muscle in a few years I can feel them lurking close to the surface and when I need to expel gas upon my kids heads but definitely need to do some more core cardio in order to visit them again. I leaned out the diet and am taking in enough protein to keep muscle but am thinking that i would rather go into the cycle completely clean and flushed out rather than adding a thermo or another chemical before.. But if under 15% is a must - the dude abides.. Let me know your thoughts..

    So this is the cycle for now__

    1 -10 500mg Test E
    10-13 500\250iu HCG a day
    11 40mg Nolva ed
    12 30mg Nolva ed
    13 20mg Nolva ed
    13-14 20mg Aromasin ed
    Nolva and HCG mid cycle if needed

    I posted this in another forum and the consensus was to lengthen the HCG and Test cycle and after reading much since then I would like to lengthen the Nolva also. Unsure if i will lengthen the Test but will grab enough gear to have on hand in case anything pops up (or out) or i want to lengthen it. I would really like to hear what the older generation thinks and why and will adjust my cycle accordingly.

    Also, an extremely helpful older gent in the other forum suggested some Vit C and phosphatidylserine during PCT to help with cortisol and suggested a heart monitor (wouldn't have thought of that!) which i have already bought. I have also already bought B6 for the cycle but I would like to hear your own routines/quirks and opinions about muscle loss during and after PCT, liver toxicity, etc. and what natural things you do to combat them during and after a cycle.

    Welcome to the Nursing Home section. Glad you are finding your way around the forums.

    This forum is a lot slower than the Q&A forum, but that is okay, we tend to move slower at our age anyway.

    Looking at your cycle, I like clomid with nolva for pct. The sides of clomid are that it turns you into a girl. Emotions like crazy. But I think it helps put you back together after a cycle. Look into it.

    Vitamin C is very anti catabolic. I personally use about 2 grams a day during pct. I know guys that use up to 7 or 8 grams a day. My piss would literally glow in the dark at that dose. Vit C is a diuretic and you will pee a lot.


    As far as clen or other fat burners, I say 'no'. Try it without anything first. These are drugs for when you hit the wall, and only when you hit the wall. Just boosters anyway. If your diet is not in check, you will not lose anything.

    Been reading the pros and cons of clomid/nolva vs. hcg and the jury seems split and confusing as hell. Their are many a post that state that HCG is the new way and it seems when i ask in a forum i get just as many clomid/nolva.. Have you tried the HCG route or are you old and set in your ways like the rest of us in this forum? I will probably go the Clomid route as it's been well documented and used for such a long time by so many people but the HCG crowd definitely has my ear. I think I'll do a Clomid/Nolva vs. HCG post in Q&A and see what a riot I can incite.

    Down to 191 and about ready to cycle. I'm a bit anal about shtuff and had to get all my ducks in a row so I went to the Doc and found out my T is borderline and I'm going back to retest tomorrow and will let you know when and if (if they don't put me on TRT that is) i start the cycle. Got some Vit C to go along with my B6 and i piss a waterfall every 45 minutes already so fargin great! Atleast it will be more colorful! Thanks for the help as always man!

    here is how i would run your cycle.

    1-12 500mg TEST E
    5-13 250iu HCG every 3rd day
    14-18 nolva ed 40/20/20/20
    14-18 clomid ed 50/50/25/25

    What your goal for this cycle? Hows your diet look? You have Aromasin on hand and thats good,i personally take thru cycle but Aromasin is strong so I low dose at 6mg eod,you do not want to totally crush your estro. Dose can vary from person to person and depend on things such as age and bf%. Some peeps do not like to take during cycle.

    Since you are 40 why not have your doc do a full blood workup before you get started. Never know, your test levels might be low and you end up with a script for the test and HCG . How would that be? If you have insurance it's next to nothing.

    The diet is great - 250 - 300g protein, easy on carbs (only healthy grains) and fat until the weight is dropped and the cycle starts. No sweets that aren't in fruit. Complex carbs in the morn and lots o' veggies. Playing it very lean until my BF is well below 15% and i start the cycle - except for the occasional beer or glass of wine.

    Goals? To not feel like an old fart and have that extra boost of energy and power in the weight room that I had when I was younger, to be able to work out twice a day without worrying about taking it easy for the next day and to outlift my brother for once (the asshole got the good genetics Basically, I'm just looking for a couple of extra pounds of lean muscle mass and to strengthen my core more so I can keep up with my kids. It may turn into more but for now that's it.

    As for the free Testosterone - that may be in the works. We'll see. I am getting the results back today and then we're going from there. I already have the gear in hand and doubt he'll be prescribing 500mg a week if he does so for now I'm going to postpone any treatment until several months after PCT so I can get a good reading on T levels again.

    I have enough gear for the 12 week cycle and may go the full 12 - I'm just saying 10 conservatively until i see the sides. I really like the 250 HCG every 3rd idea with the nolva/clomid ending and will implement that.

    Are there any supplements/herbs/vitamins that you guys use during cycle for liver toxicity, acne, hair loss or anything that pops up?

    Hope I didn't offend slimey. Just kidding about the Tito comment man. But, you do have the melon and abs of Tito.

    LOL,im willing to bet after you get around week 8-9 you will be like yeah i think i will go for the 12,if you want you can checkout a supp called cycle support,with hairloss concerns you can take 1mg finasteride ed,you be better off taking the hcg thru your cycle vs during pct,just start your clomid/nolva 14 days after last test e pin,and last pin of hcg 6-7 days before you start clomid/nolva. just keep your diet in check to meet your goals,diet most important whether your on or off cycle. keep your diet tight and workouts strong during pct.

    Your not the first to tell me that I'll make it a 12 week cycle once I start. I'm fairly knowledgeable thanks to you gentlemen and feel pretty comfortable about everything including PCT which was my main concern. All the apprehension I had before is replaced with excitement now. I'm like a kid in a candy store except mom has put the kabosh on eating it until i clean my room and take the fat neighbor girl out on a date. I'm fargin stuck at 191 and don't have time to do more cardio without cutting into my weightlifting time and I don't want to lose muscle mass anyway. Pissin me off.. Looks like I'm going to have to switch up my cardio with alot more lower midsection focus. This slowed down metabolism age bullshit sucks. Looks like it may take another month or so to begin..

    I'm definitely going to go the HCG route during cycle and Clomid/Nolva after. I just wasn't sure that the dosages given from other people were right for me as I wanted to go as minimal as possible on everything and was getting nothing less than 250iu HCG eod. I didn't really want to pin eod and thought this being the first cycle that it probably wasn't necessary. If J4ever gets results with 250iu e3d then it sounds good to me and if the Clomid makes me act like my baby girl then the wife will just have to wipe both our tears and asses for awhile.
