On the competition Bandwagon in 2011
I am a 50 Year Old Bodybuilder, Training seriously for competition for 2 yrs now.
I am 6 months away from the provincials and I am starting to tighten my diet. I workout 2 days on 1 day off. I do
Day 1 Back/biceps
Day 2 Chest/Triceps
Day 3 Rest
Day 4 Hamstrings/Calves/Biceps
Day 5 Shoulders/Abs/Triceps
Day 6 Rest
Day 7 Legs/Calves
I am confused as to the sets and reps and rest duration. I have tried many different routines and I can cut up easily enough, it is the size that I would like to keep
I am 5'11
215 lbs
9% bb
I am doing sustenon 250 and EQ every 3 days for my first 8 week cycle.
I am looking for advice and opinions to help me keep the muscle.
Great forum by the way!

Your a BB so keep the rep high...9-12 reps.
As for size keep the protein high.
Your cycle looks good.

pardon?
sustanon is best EOD but E3D is acceptable....
EQ should be atleast 15 weeks for best results..it wont do alot for you during the first 8 weeks..
i wont offer advice on routines, reps etc...everyone is different. you obviously know what works for you.
and I am also from Canada.

When dieting your always going to lose some size, try to keep the clean carbs as high as you can. I tried a ketone diet once and lost a lot of size. Also Tren a and test prop is great for getting ready for a contest.

I just went in to get a battery of tests before I go full bore, checking out the test level, lipids, cholesterol, the whole gambit. Us old guys seem to have to work twice as hard to get the results we had twenty years ago lol. Is it me or has attitudes of young people in the gym changed? Sorry for putting this on the site but I was doing shoulder presses and this young just walked up and took my 25 off my bar. I told him I was using it and he shot back " I have a right to be here" What the @#&? I will let you know the results of the test and let you guys know my progress, any input would be great.

I competed in July in the grandmasters B.C. Bodybuilding Competition. I have requalified for the Nationals and going for the 2012 Canadians.
I came in at 192 Lbs ( last year I was 182) I was fuller looking this year but not as conditioned. I hope I can keep up on the gains so I have started a slow gain program and zeroing on the contest. The leap from provincial to National is huge so any input is appreciated. I will post the pics when they come in. I have the posedown video available http://youtu.be/2LtW1BvkcIsLast edited by Canadian Oldie; 08-09-2011 at 12:30 AM.
