2 Hernia's, How much work will I miss ¿
I went to the my family Dr today, I found out I have 2 hernias in my lower abs. I goto a specialist tomorrow to find out about surgery. I was wandering how long am I going to have to take off for the surgery?
Thanks for any input.

did they put the mesh in throughout the complete abdomen too ?
I have a friend that competes and had one in his lower abdomen]
he had the mesh installed of course .. of course his stomach was bloated for the next few weeks but he was able to get back into the gym in 3 weeks.. it really all depends on how suvere it is

I had that operation about 6 years ago (but only a single hernia). You'll be out for about 4-6 weeks. After that you'll probably have another month of only lifting light weight. You'll be lucky if you can stand errect after one week...let alone even thinking about lifting.
Just take your time and go through the full recovery time needed...or you'll have to do it all over again and miss even more time.

hernia.
I just had hernia surgury monday. My hernia was as big as a fucken coffee cup, and it was a inguinal hernia. The surgeon put double mesh along my right inguinal area so it wouldn't happen again. It is thursday and this is the first day I can actually get out of bed, the pain is fucken unbelieveable. No lifting heavy for 10 weeks for me, at six weeks i can go 50% of what I am used too. You'll be okay, just rest properly and than hit the weights hard. Good luck.
