    To old????

First question should I still be doing this at 51 years young ? Have been going to proper gym for over seven years now have had good gains and in not to bad shape have dabbled in bits and bobs I am at a stage where thinking of doing a local bodybuilding show .have had loads of
advice from the younger guys at my gym but not sure if it would apply to me considering my age . Have done a few coarse over the years and I'm now feeling my natural test is very low due to age and other factors have been taking test 250 for last six month at one mil a week keeps me feeling good or should I say young , but where do I go from here can I keep on as I am or should I be having a rethink of my goals . Would love to compete as it would be like a reward for the hard work I have put in thinking of starting a mock diet to see how I come in this a think will give me the insentive to do a show . Is there any specific steroids for older guys ? And what are they ? I hope this dose not sound to Nieve I do have a basic knowledge of steroids and use ,although it may not look like it. Any advise would be welcome positive or negative I'm a big boy haha .

Honest answer. No, your not too old. I'm older. But what you should do at your age is to do a PCT, meaning stop self administering and come off completely using items called SERMS. Then after a period of time go to a hormone specialist and have proper blood work done to know what your natural levels are at this point. Odds are they are low, which as you stated may be age related, or may be caused by many other issues than can effect T levels that are correctable.

Then if that is the case you can start a proper TRT protocol under a doc's care and use your insurance to cover the cost of the tools needed. A proper protocol contains more than just Testosterone . Test in and of itself shuts down your HPTA. When this occurs your living off the exogenous test you inject. So, your testicals now are not receiving any stimulation via the HPTA. Eventually they will begin to shrink and sometimes can be painful. The item that prevents that is HCG which exactly mimics LH and to a minor extent stimulates FSH as well. LH basically stimulates the testies to make T and FSH is for spermatogenesis. Both are normally signalled by the pituitary. Added T shuts all this down. HCG also has many other benefits as well.

Next. Added test will often times cause your estrogen level to elevate. Estrogen follows testosterone. More T = more E. To much E is a bad thing and needs to be monitored and controlled if necessary. This is where proper blood work comes into play and is your guide to good health. Read this:

So, your new here and have a lot to learn and digest. I would have preferred you post in the TRT forum as it receives more traffic. I encourage you to visit that forum and read all the stickies. It will really help you if your goal is good health.

    Welcome faither!

Does not matter what type of doc at all. Just one that understands hormones and unfortunately most just don't. I strongly encourage self-education and why I keep referring you to the sticky threads at the top of the HRT forum. Quality info there then will help to jump start your education here.

Matter of fact a TRT drug called Nebido (test undecanoate) is probably available over there. It requires a loading phase but in total I think only about 4 shots per year to have very sound levels. You can do a search here as well. Several threads on it. Read the one by Marcus if you can find it. Try searching Nebido, Marcus.....

Stick around man. Lurk, learn and contribute!
