    Dr. for first cycle

I am 48 and have worked out for many years and I am thinking about doing a cycle. Although this forum has a wealth of information, I think I would be more comfortable under the supervision of a doctor. I know my test is within the normal range for my age. So the question how to go about and find a doctor that will work with me.

    Other info:
    6'5"
    240 pounds

Before you do anything have blood work as outlined in the bloodwork section. It actually boils down to a Hormone Panel, Blood Panel, Metabolic Panel. YOU should OWN your health and the bloodwork is the key to the kingdom in my humble opinion. How did I know I needed trt? Bloodwork. How do I know where my diabetic tendencies stand? Bloodwork. How do I know if there is an actual issue at the start? Bloodwork. How do I know if on cycle if there are sides or major issue? Bloodwork. How do I know when off cycle if my jewels are all gigidty again? Bloodwork.

If you want supervised by a doctor that is fine..it is recommended. Do not be surprised when the doctor acts like you are doing something illegal and drops you as a patient. It is the reality of it all.

I'd also be concerned having that information in your medical record. It could be used as an excuse by your insurance company to deny you coverage in the event you have some serious health issues down the road.

Yep. This has happened to more than a few people. Or as previously mentioned dropped coverage.

Your family Doc will most likely not recommend a cycle. He'll be liable if something goes wrong so why would he take the risk. If you go to one of these anti-aging clinics you might get one of the docs to give you a script for a cycle. But be prepared to pay $5K to $20K per month for the treatments. My recommendation would be go

    1) go to your doc and get blood work done to see where you're at chemically. Make sure you get a full spectrum hormone test.
    2) Take the numbers to an endo and get a prognosis and at the same time post your numbers in the forum and get recommendations from VETS. There is a mountain of empirical knowledge on this board. The problem is that you have to have experience to filter out the good from the bad advice. The chances are very good that the vets will give you good advice. They just know a ton of stuff. When I need to know stuff I IM the vets.
    3) Read My First Cycle: Planning and Executing a Successful First Cycle and come up with a cycle plan for yourself.
    4) post your plan and ask for advice. While you're getting advice start dialing in your diet for the cycle. The diet will be one of the main factors on the success of your cycle.
    5) get all your get BEFORE you start.
    6) run your cycle and finish your PCT
    7) get another blood work about 4 weeks after your PCT and post the results.

I think this is the safest way for you to approach a cycle. The other thing is to IM the vets with specific questions. The first cycle will be your best cycle so plan well and have enjoy the results.

no doctor will prescribe a cycle for you, if it was that easy then everyone will be doing it, and underground labs won't exist!

I had an endo that monitored what I was doing years ago. But he would only prescribe my TRT dose.
