Whether to include an AI into my PCT... That is the question!
Hi, just finishing up my first 12 week cycle of test e at 400mg/wk and am gearing up for PCT. Based on some very good reads like Austinite's "My First Cycle," it appears that I should take both Clomid (e.g., 75/50/50/50) and Nolvadex (40/20/20/20) for about 4 weeks, which I intend to do.
However, I would also like to know whether I should continue taking my AI (e.g., L-dex) throughout PCT at 0.25mg EOD as well. I read "Pheedno's PCT" just now and it says to include L-dex during PCT at 0.25 mg ED. Admittedly, I don't quite understand all the science behind his arguments just yet (or may never) and so I'd like to pick people's thoughts on this. For example, has anyone included AI during PCT and had a negative or bad experience?
Thanks.

Stop the AI when you start the your PCT.
Did you run HCG on cycle?

No reason to run an AI during pct so long as you kept estrogen under control during your cycle. During pct testosterone levels will be low therefore hardly any testosterone converting to estrogen. Running an AI would likely crash your estrogen and during pct it's time for your hormones to level out on there own. Like MI said stop your AI when you start your serms pct

I got my HCG late and so I was only able to run it at 500 i.u./week for weeks 9-12. I did notice my testicles plump back up a bit during weeks 10-12 so I think it had some effect.

Thanks Jim. What you're saying makes sense to me. When test levels are high (e.g., during cycle) I need the AI to prevent too much of it to convert into estrogen. During PCT, however, test levels will be low and so running an AI seems pointless, and as you pointed out, possibly counterproductive in that it may cause estrogen levels to crash to low.
So then does anyone understand the pro-AI during PCT arguments laid out in posts like Pheedno's PCT? Thanks.

Pheedno's PCT article is old. Things have moved on, go with Austinite's recommendation.
