PCT and prednisone... Could use some insight!

Hey guys. I'm on and off on this place mainly because I gotta work on myself a ton more before I consider any more gear.

I got another asthma attack and my doc prescribed prednisone again. Looking for relief I started immediately and felt better. Wanting me on a 60mg taper down to 10mg. I went against the script and just took 20mg daily. I'm on my fifth day and feel much better. But I read that prednisone will lower testosterone , FSH and LH. Did I just ruin my PCT? If I stop can I get back on track? I wouldn't mind quitting the prednisone and recovering naturally if it means potentially permanent damage. It was my fault, smoked a fatty with some friends. Yeah bad idea.

    P.S

I'm in my fourth week of PCT finishing off my nolva and clomid.

I don't know enough about prednisone to help you. However, you don't have to be on a cycle to be active here - lots of fun threads and resources/tools to learn.

I regretted being inactive while I was injured when ironically I had nothing but time. Lots of folks with tons of experience that may have had similar life events that can share wisdom.

    to put it simply -
you have either 'anabolic ' steroids derived from cholesterol based hormones like testosterone . or you have 'catabolic' steroids (corticosteroid) derived from cholesterol based hormones like Cortisol .

Prednisone is the 'catabolic' one. its Cortisol derived and surpasses the immune system and acts as an anti-inflammatory. unfortunately, it is bad for bodybuilding purposes. but hey, so is smoking a fat blunt

don't stress it . just get better and then get back on track. focus on your diet and training right now

Yeah I still don't like the idea of prednisone. It's a wonderful medicine in the field of anti-inflammatory but it's one steroid I'd like to stay away from. Not to contradict myself but my doctor has thought on putting me on 7.5-20mg of prednisone long term because I respond so well to it. Having to agree it isn't the stimulating effects it does make me feel like myself before I developed this asthma later in life. Let's say I were to take prednisone long term. Could I TRT with it? Is there a safe amount of time I could straight TRT 200mg every 10 days or even less as I long term prednisone.

The idea is to reduce inflammation and promote healing in my lungs. In doing so I could reduce my daily asthma medication to only once a week, possibly no to rarely using steroid inhaler. The steroid inhalers are not systemic, literally dosed in MCG not MG. The other option is to continue taking my high dose of steroid inhalers for probably year(s) until my lungs slowly heal to best possible health. And yes, I have thought about HGH and Deca but not the slightest if it'll help. I wouldnt consider a TRT with a long term prednisone use until way after PCT I'd wait till next cycle time

Long term Prednisone has a host of terrible sides.

Yeah that's a good point. Thanks.

It effects my mood the most. Idiotic or not when I was on dbol for me prednisone effected my mood way more. Regardless if roid rage is real or not my temper is extremely short on prednisone. While my experience with test made me overall calm and dbol assertive you could say. Tbol I didn't notice anything although when I stopped the mirror spoke back at me.

Yeah.. Man I do miss my turbulent crappy planned out cycle hahahaha! Uhh... Learned a lot...

Lol, sometimes them mirrors are assholes.

I will say this, if you're on more than 30mg for a week or longer, you ween off, don't just drop it.

    Half the dose e3d
