are knee wraps supposed to feel like this?

i wrapped my knees for squats for the first time last week and it hurt like hell during my sets. are you supposed to wrap them once for your whole squat session or do you take them off between every set.

you definitely need to take them off each set... or they are no way near tight enough! I know my wraps are perfect when all I can think about is getting the set finished as quickly as possible so I can hurry up and get my wraps off...

Man, take wraps off immediately after squatting. Same applies to wrist wraps. They make the squat more comfortable for me since it helps my knees so much. I know some guys claim it adds poundage, but not for me (2m inzers) just mainly making the squat more comfortable. No more than 10 lbs addition for sure.

Dang that's funny. Not making fun of you....just thinking of the pain you must have been going thru. Yes you most definitely need to take them off ASAP after your set. Good rule of thumb, if you wrap your knees tight enough you shouldn't wear the wraps for anything more than about 90 seconds to 2min. I like my wraps tight at hell, but like some of the previous posters wrote, all you can think about is getting them off immediately afte that set. Good luck. Squat heavy.
