    APF Senior Nationals

Who's going??? If anyone is down for checking out a kick ass powerlifting contest this will be one for the ages! It's going to be held at the Plaza in Las Vegas June 2-4. So far the list of lifters is looking insane!!! If you are in the Vegas area the 1st weekend of June this will be a must see meet. I will be lifting at 242 and two of my partners will be lifting at 275. 10 weeks out and feeling hyped!!!

Thanks for the info. It sounds like a good meet. I have been trying to find one of the better meets. This one don't sound so bad. I allso lift at 242 @ age 43 I have only done two meets and I am still pretty new to power lifting but have done well at both. Two meets and three state records. My best was 515 at the last meet and I still had some left in me. Let me know what you think and if I would have a chance a a meet like this. thanks

I'm not sure what the qualifying total is for the bench... I think the qualifying total for the full power meet @ 242 is around 1800 lbs. regardless you have to put up a qualifying total within the year to compete at Sr. Nationals... last year in the full meet at 242 a few guys benched around 650-700 lbs. to give you an idea of the poundages hoisted at this contest... this meet brings the best of the best out... I'm sure Mendelson will be there again benching 1000 plus as a super heavy weight. As far as having a chance... I say put up a qualifying total (I think 515 is good) and do it... you will love the experience!
