    Question for Heavy Deadlifters

I am going to be maxing out on Deads soon.

Currently I can do 500 x 5 and prob more.

Question is how much more can you guys max than you can do for 5 reps?

I haven't ever maxed out on deads and don't know what to expect, but i am hoping for 600.

    5'6" 185lbs 36yo.

I have a chart that is pretty acurate. For 5 rep in DL the coefficient is 1.164 (for lifts in US lbs).

    So 500 lb * 1.164=582 lb

Now that is assuming everything is raw. Good luck bro.

i wouldnt bank on that, those things are never accurate, it is different for evey person, but 580 is in your ballpark, you can hit that, what is your best single?

i have always done sets of 5. 500x5 goes up nice and smooth on every rep.

i feel as though i will end up somewhere between 580 and 600.

i'm with you in that those calculators are not perfect, but it gives me a ball park to shoot for.

    Hey anabolicboy, 2 questions:

    1) Are you conventional or sumo deadlifter?

    2) Do you pause between each rep in your set.

If you pause at the bottom, I'd expect almost 75-100lb jump to your max. If you touch and go then 50-75 is probably closer. As far as your stance it's just curiosity.

    conventional most of the time
pause between reps all of the time.

Good idea on the pause. Sorry about the misname, must have glanced at one of the other replies. I think you could expect the high end estimate on a good day.
