work related and KK won't work with me on weigh ins so I said screw it. Basically, there's no way due to work for me to get there until friday morning the day of lifting for lightweights. I would basically have like an hour with the weigh in he's giving me. I only weigh 173-174 so getting down to 165 isn't all that dramatic but I would still like to load up and feel reasonable ok and not bloated, that and diabetic like after the carb loads. hehe

When's your next meet RJ? How's training coming along?

I'm about 5 weeks out from the APF Southern States... I'm feeling good and the training is coming along nice. I hit a solid 925 last Monday in the squat... I feel like my goal of breaking a 900 squat and totalling over 2200 is gonna happen. I just gotta finish strong and train smart from here on out. I will keep ya posted!

thats a shame about the meet... but you have plenty of lifting ahead of you and I know that wont be your last chance for the WPO semis!

looking at one in january or feb in upstate new york. i think for awhile i am only going to do bench only for a little, than i plan to go full apf all 3 lifts. u r rt RJ, it is alifter friendly org, and i am sick and tired of the non friendly lifter orgs i have lifted in. i need a change

and honestly it can be too lifter friendly... as we have all seen the occasional gift given... however if that's the worst then I'll take it. my experience from local to the national level has been good, besides I have met many great people... and really that's what I have probably enjoyed the most. I hope the change works for ya... I think you will enjoy it.

If it is so lifter friendly maybe I'll look into it as well. I have tended to compete in orgs that are geographically forgiving as far as traveling goes. That's one of the reason's why I have done usapl (aside from the fact that I used to be juice free). Of course, this past year's usapl state championship was the diagonal of the away this year. Since I am taking about a year off, I have some time to think. Come to think about it, I have heard great things about lifters from the apf. What is the aapf?

What are the gear guidelines for these feds. What is the drug testing if any (I am assuming none).

aapf is suposedly tested, apf is not teste. equipment, multi ply, no limit,

coming from the usapl , you are going to have to almost learn to squat all over again. truly an entirely different form and depth qualifications,i feel the type of squats you would do in the usapl and the type you would do in the apf are to different exercises all together

no limit is close, but as far as gear goes, you can wear one suit one brief. one shirt with singlet. Now, where it gets questionable is that nowhere in the rule book does it say that the suit has to be two layers or three layers, or four etc.... but it does have to equal ONE piece.

I wear Trex with ACE briefs for squatting which equals four layers, but only two pieces.
I wear metal pro squatter for pulling which equals two layers but only one piece.
Sometimes, I play around with the Inzer Fusion Deadlift suit and briefs a combination with my pulls which equals three layers/two pieces, but it's tough to get in position, so I might as well do conventional - know what Im saying? haha

APF is fun. the lifters are awesome. The meets are, specially big meets so far have been a lot of fun, Ive been in this sport for just under a year and it's been one hell of a year, thanks to the apf. Im hoping 07 delivers............

inew this, i just didnt feel like getting into the specifics, it gets to complicated.LOL! i do have a question, i have a super modified karin klein shirt, 2 layers denim, one layer poly and one layer canvas, the shirt is a beast! would this be apf legal? according to the rules, since it is one piece, it should be ok,right?

i dont know if you have seen, but it just got worse again, stricter rules on the bench. just when you think it ca'nt get worse with them, it does!! no head movement when pressing and no rising of the buttock even if your glutes dont come off the bench, so pretty much you cant use leg drive.
