    yeah i did that today. and bench was heavier. i knew what u guys meant, lol i didnt mean the inside of the bar like when i do close grip bench, i was getting specifics. and how i did it today, i couldnt go much wider without the rack squishing my fingers.

    You know, just to throw this out there, I don't like the real wide bench raw, it limits my power off my chest since since its so hard to keep my shoulder blades tucked in, I just circumvent this by having a really high arch and placing my pinky fingers on the rings. For a shirted bench I put my middle fingers on the rings, and let the shirt get it off my chest.

    it is differetn for everyone, when i go raw or equiped i use pointer finger, these big goons i train with,both are over 6'3 and weigh over 360lbs, they complain that raw wide hurts their shoulders so they use pinkys, they think i am crazy for going that wide raw, but iknow quiet a few others who press this wide raw. if it works for you, than do it, i myself wouldnt go any closer than ring fingers on the lines. but that is just me.

    i found my sweet spot to be middle finger on the rings .....after trying diffrent grips and weights i came to the conclusion that its where i am most comfortable
