Step bro's first strength meet!
My step brother is barely 16 and competeing in his first hs strenght meet. He is 6 feet and 200lbs he will be competeing in the 200-209 class. How do u think he might do. His max bench is 260 maybe 270 squat 365 40 - under 5 not sure about dead how do u think he will do and are these good numbers??? Hes one hell of a football player too hope he goes pro haha he owes me

He's probably going to get owned. It's tough to be tall. I have a friend who's 5'7 and 200-209, and his lifts are more than double your brother's. Don't let him get discouraged though, because as much as it's nice to compete, lifting is mostly an individual sport. Bringing up his lifts is going to make a world of difference in his football, and competing in events is a good way to stay motivated to keep the numbers going up.

those are decent numbers for 16.I trained boys that age for some time and thats not bad.I had a few that were way stronger but thats the way it goes.just makes you work harder.

i competed at that age in high school and i was 184 and my numbers were alot higher... and i'd get owned at times... if he is serious tho the meet will help him learn. sometimes the drive to win is the best way to coach somebody. but you only get that by losing or trying to stay on top

update
well he decided to do the varsity division and came in 5th out of 25. And considering he was the youngest one in the field id say thats pretty damn good oh and btw the winner squated 700+ lbs and is only 17!!!

HOLY SH!T Those be some strong ass 16-17 year olds!!!!! Im going to go crawl under a rock now. Because im 23 and thats almost double my squat!
