MY Wife is in to Powerlifting.
Hi i am writing this for my wife she has curently traind 5month in our lokal gym and she is doing realy well
Bench 70kg x 1reps
Squat 120 x 2 reps
deads 140 x 2 reps
and she has realy good change to be realy strong but my knowlage is mostly in bodybuilding.
In our gym has all the basic equpment but no Super band possibillities.
And how is she supposed to trian i hawe triad to understand all the training programs in here butt i dont realy gett the gripp on it.
can som body help my wife how to train real powerlifting
she is currently on a "ordinary" 4 way split /week (bodybuiding program)

the big difference is not training to failure, training for the big three not for the muscle group and alot of times the big difference is bigger rests between sets.. also your training should be based around weak spots in the movement.
examples, bodybuilders look in the mirror to find weak spots.. powerlifters often have to record themself to see where they actually are sticking or slowing down with the weight..
most rest, bodybuilders want to cause hypertrophy, in turn forcing the muscle to failure to break it down and push blood in. powerlifters often take 4-5min rest between sets to make every set the strongest possible, not just the hardest on the muscle.
tell her good luck, ask more specific questions if you have them, there are alot of very well rounded powerlifters here

Or get her into a powerlifting gym if there is one around your area.
