Thumbless grip
I have recently witnessed a mishap of one of my pals at the gym. Dropped the bar on his chest during bench...thankfully he was not seriously injured. Anyhow this has prompted me to try and start wrapping my thumb around the bar during pressing movements which I have not done in probably a decade. I just cannot seem to adjust and it is really frustrating me.....the angle the bar sets across my hand is different so I feel I am "out of the groove" I know I can not be the only one who has made the transition.... can anyone give me an idea of how to make the adjustment successfully or if it is even needed.....

What gives me the same feeling as thumbless grip is rather than letting the bar rest across the top of you palms with your hands bent, I try to straighten my hands out so my knuckles are facing close to upwards. When I press up it is almost like a punch instead of my palms facing up. Might not be what works for you but I get alot more power and have much more control. Hope this helps.
