regular/competition collars Vs. spring collars
what do you guys use in training? springs are cheaper and often faster, but they can get messed up and may not be strong enough to keep plates on like competition collars. is it worth the extra money for comp collars from eleiko or something else top notch? just wanting opinions and experiences.

I use springs for normal workouts, though it really depends I guess on how much weight and how much your bar bows.

get collars, especially if you train powerlifting like I think you do.
Its easier to wrap bands around

All depends on the exercise but I use a combination of muscle clamps, spring clamps from the hardware store and chain mate collars from Elite Fitness.
Rarely use the spring collars anymore.
