Best F'n part was watching him start to smile (look closely) when he was half-way up and mentally knew that he had it. Made me smile watching him do that. Incredible.

Hell yeah I noticed that too! That's what made me think he could have added more!

Maybe, but that was the exact moment "he knew" he had it. Cool stuff.

Sweet Jesus that is some strength. Not hating but that definitely did not look deep enough for an official squat.. probably could have made it anyways because that weight looked light for him!

Hip crease at, or below, top of knee = good lift.

Haha ok, listen, you're entitled to your opinion about what you saw. I don't want to argue with you about it lol. In competition, there will be 3 judges. One in front, and one on each side of the lifter. The two on the side are in the best position to determine proper squat depth. From the angle shown here, we don't have a very good vantage point to definitively determine whether or not it would be white-lighted. Having said that, even if I was the only judge, and had the same vantage point as the cameraman, I would still say his hip crease was roughly 1 inch below the top of his knee.

To each viewer his own, I'm just sitting here bored on a Sunday afternoon and saw that you posted. Just debating out of good fun and boredom. Cheers, Jackfrost!
