Got this over at www.getbig.com
Ken 'Flex' Wheeler is Dead?
Among rampant rumors that Ken 'Flex' Wheeler is dead after not competing in the Arnold Classic, after speaking with Flex on the telephone Tuesday at his home, this rumor is most definitely not true. As Mark Twain once said, 'Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.' But it is fun hearing how fast a false rumor can fly via the bulletin boards, and the gyms.
Flex was admitted to the hospital due to a recurring illness the week before the Arnold Classic, and did pull out of the show and subsequent show after that due to the illness, but Flex is fine. (3/5/03)

Flex is not fine. As far as the Australian Show went. His kidneys are reported in bad shape and his pro card pulled

He's not dead but from what I've read his pro bb days are over and he's waiting for a new kidney, he has battled a degenerative kidney disorder his entire life and I'm sure diuretics and drastic weight fluctuations didn't help. At the Australian Grand Prix Wayne Demilia said that Flex needs a kidney transplant and that he will not compete in the ifbb again, because they will not issue him a pro card due to his health. It's a shame his career is over, but he will definitely go down in history as a great pro and will always be remembered for putting one of the most flawless physiques on stage at the 93 Arnold. I wish him the best in the future and with his health.

Shawn Ray got married? I can't believe he actually found someone he loves more than himself.

Guns that's a good one!
Shawn says he's found god I guess. I bet he looked in the mirror and said "Damn I'm almost God like" and there you have it!....

I talk with shawn Ray and Flex Wheeler atleast three times a week. Most of what you hear is definitely rumors.
Flex Wheeler did almost die, due to his bad kidneys. He continues to train and may or may not compete again.
shawn ray is not married yet, but will be married sometime soon.
can't say anymore.
oh, and flex wheeler let me borrow a copy of his new book and it kicks ass. you should see how skinny he used to be! very inspiring
