taking research chemicals on a plane

This is mostly just my paranoia talking.. but anyone had any trouble doing this? I know since they are not for human consumption, they are perfectly legal, but I wouldn't bet on TSA screeners knowing that. Rush Limbaugh got into trouble for carrying viagra without a prescription.
Should I take the labels off?

I not giving you any legal advice since I'm not a lawyer. What I can do is share my experience. I tore the labels off and put them in my checked luggage. I was able to travel internationally and nationally with no problems.

I just flew two weeks ago. You could not bring them as carry on luggage. Put them in your checked luggage, if you are to take them.

thats the best way for everything, check it in with your luggage, that way theres no issues, i even braugh a knife through that way, no problems at all - they prob think that its ok becuase u cant access the luguage form inside of the plane anyway

You can't carry them on. I've tried bringing them carry-on, and I couldn't. I had to check them, but had no problem at all with them checked.

Did you leave the labels on or tear them off?
