We have that up north too. It's garbage - makes people feel entitled to being Judge, Jury, and executioner.
My neighbour up the street at my former home is wealthy and between him, wife, and kid they have 5 vehicles. Someone called the RCMP on him (I don't know what the American equivalent would be - maybe a watered down version of DEA or FBI).
Someone took it upon themselves to say 5 cars in a driveway is automatically a party. He's just rich.
Imagine having a lovely dinner only to be interrupted by Feds at the door asking to look around to ensure covid practises are being adhered to
