I need everyone’s input. I was at the farmer’s market last Sunday. And being I’m in Los Angeles, we are supposed to be wearing masks. Plus of course, there is food around. Everyone had a mask but a single vendor. The dude sneezed and in the direction of his product and crowd. I did not do or say a thing. I made the conscience choice to not buy anything from him, because I was right there when it happened. When I got home, I felt guilty because others did not know and potentially could have gotten sick.

I’ll be at the same market next week. What if he is not wearing a mask again, do I tell who is in charge of the market?

I don’t want this to be a debate about the virus itself please. And, I fully understand the attitude of not being a rat snitch. But, do I have a responsibility to others by saying something?

When you find out someone is selling shitty or contaminated gear, you don’t call the fucking cops. You bury their asses by letting the world know that their product os fucked up.

If I report this, who knows what will happen to this vendor - I don’t know how severe this market will come down on him. The climate of this market is all about etiquette, distancing and precautions (which I don’t want to be included in this discussion because it is what it is here). I could talk to him personally, but he may possibly play the race card as he is Chinese and frankly on Sunday morning with my wife, I don’t see confrontation being wise.

If he is dealing in such a place, knowing full well their rules of doing business, you can’t concern yourself with how the directors would react. Again, world of difference between voluntary private transactions, and compulsory public rulings.
