    since were talking about deadlifts can they be used to bulk the back also?

    Deadlifts are amazing bro I cant believe what I'm hearing they will increase core strength exponentially... Stronger lower back/glutes/hammies/quads/calves/forearms and abs... it requires a huge amount of abdominal strength to lift 500lbs and thats a hell of alot more stress on your core then a situp....

    think about it, directly targeting the abdominals is going to have a greater effect then performing a compound movement. the deadlift does work your abs, but if your really trying to strengthen them, then assistance work that really targets them will bring up your weak abs.
