Thumbs up P90X is not a joke

I just finished my first week of P90X doing the lean program instead of the classic one.

    Core Synergix
    Cardio X
    Kenpo X
    Yoga X
    shoulders and arms
    Legs and back

All i can say is that its just amazing, great warm up at start and great cooldown at end.

Since i still have a bit of back pain i am just testing myself, my cardio is so so, i have no shame in saying that i did stop during all the training.

I really love P90X because there is a lot of focus on the core muscles of the lower back, abs to really build a very strong fundation and avoid injuries.

If everything goes well next week i will start for real with before picture and adding the diet has well.

P90X is not a joke and many people who decide to try it might get a big HIT in there EGO, i know i did.

    LOL

My goal is to get back in amazing shape and yes that really fits my goals, its really not good for someone who wants to had some weight or size to is body.

Its a lot more for shredding fat, building one amazing cardio and flexibility.

Tony Horton just turned 50 and he looks better then most 25 years old LOL

I tried it.. not for someone who wants to get big. But the cardio is ungodly.. I thought I had "good" cardio before trying this.. I was wrong.. the people in the vid make it seem so easy and I think I slapped the pause button ten times during those..

Exacly my point has well LOL and pertty much the comment of everyone that tried it to.

For the nutritinal guide well you guys are bodybuilders so i guess there is not much more this guy can provide you in terme of information that you dont already know.

Eat veggies, low glycemic carbs, PWO after your training etc etc.

First phase is the fat shredding phase so its high protein low carb and moderate fat

Second phase is energy phase protein are moderate, carb get back up there but with choices of course low glycemic best fat stays the same.

Phase 3 is maintenance carbs are a little higher again, protein around 20% and fats always stay at 20%.

Depending on your goals you have the choice to do 3 programmes, either the P90X, P90X or P90X double where you train twice a day.

I'm about to check it out myself, just to mix it up.... I would say if you are looking to get into better shape you should try www.crossfit.com as well.... Of course I'm sure P90x is very similar. Elite level crossfit athletes are in some of the best shape in the world. They would absolutely smoke MMA fighters who do their 5 round circuit training.

hmm... so i got a question...

I do 1 hour cardio on the treadmill at a very fast walking pace on an incline for my cardio as soon as i wake up before i eat anything. Then after a couple of meals I do my lifting.

Im just getting back into routine after gaining alota weight not lifting or running for the past 7 months. Trying to shred lots of body fat while still gaining some lean muscle back.

Sooooo... would this exercise just take place of my morning cardio? or will this take place my Pm lifting? or both?

and if it is both should i keep it in the Am before i eat anything?
I plan on taking the lipoflame stack aswell..

From what I understand of the P90X system (my wife has it but does not do it), it is meant to replace your weight training workout. You can add some additional cardio (for a 2x daily workout) if you like but it is not mandatory since the tempo is fast and actually acts as a cardio workout of sorts.

In terms of when to do it, I would not recommend doing P90X on an empty stomach. It looks to be pretty intense and I doubt you'd be able to finish the workout.

I have been doing P90X for about a week now. I agree you should not do this on an empty stomach. Every workout is very intense to include AB ripper which is only 15 minutes long. I haven't been doing the lean routine as planned by the trainer. I do the cardio routine everyday and alternate core synergestics and ab ripper as a second workout each day. I have noticed a difference in the way my clothes feel after only one week. My fiance hasn't noticed anything yet, but I'm not giving up. This seems to finally be a workout routine that is not repetative so shouldn't get bored easily.
