What else do you consume (carbs) along with the banana? I doubt it's just the banana by itself. Surely a man of your stature is getting more than 25g-ish of carbs PWO!

I stick with whey, oats, banana and creatine. I find this combination to suit my body but I do change it around depending on the workout.but that's my basic start for ten.

I kind of figured that. Oats and banana are almost a staple!

Looks like we have the same PWO meal except I add in about 3-4g of beta alanine and 1000mg vit c. Have you tried beta alanine...thoughts?

It really exerts little effects in the way of NO. Thats hype used by supp companies.
The direct benfit of BA is that it increases carnosine levels.
Carnosine is definately a powewrful anti oxidant and is concentrated in skelatal muscle so it prevents oxidative damage in muscle. It also does this in the nervous system as well.
The next benfit of carnosine and the one that supp companies hang their hat on most (NO being the second) is that it was shown in one study on rats that increased carnosine resulted in increased contractile force in muscle and decreased fatigue.
The tingling is known as parathesia and must be from BA exerting some effects on nerves. Usually after a couple weeks of use the tingling stops.

y do u take beta PWO? its usually a pre-WO stim. i love it, been taking it for about 3 months pre-WO and its pretty cheap (i get 1kg for about €20 and u only need 2g usually, i take 4g). some people hate the jitters u get from it, it could be a placebo thing because i dont know of any actuall research that it benefits ur workout but for me its a staple supp.

Some get this, some don't...it has never made me tingle. Like Jimmy said it should go away after a few weeks.

correct, beta alanine is found in a lot of preworkout stims. I take it before and after my workout as I take my creatine the same way. The reason I do this is because it works synergetically w/ creatine so a little before and after works for me.
