    im actually gonna reverse diet when i get to where i want to be bf% wise. have u read about that BIB? of course from the sounds of it u dont need to.

    The calculation is, of course, for the most part sound. And, if I didn't work out or do cardio then my maintenance (same bodyfat) at 196lbs would probably be 2500cals. As it is I lift 4times and do 90-120 mins cardio per week and my maintenance is actually around 3200 cals. The OP weighs more than I so, in theory, his maintenance is more than mine.

    Reverse dieting absolutely has it's merits in the right circumstances. If the OP continues with his plan he will have no alternative but to reverse diet to avoid easy fat gain once his weight loss goal is reached.

    My 150lb wife eats less than the OP is proposing to lose weight and that is without any exercise at all.
