Sometimes I wonder if human civilization is much older than it really is.
Say that humans at one time were advanced and had a sophisticated society and lost it due to war, famine or otherwise. Then the survivors had to relearn everything again and we are now the end product of those countless generations having to get caught back up.
For example, now if civilization were to completely crumble. There are very few of us that could survive and then restore what we once had. It would take many many generations to catch back up.
For fuck sakes, a large part of our population don't even know where their organic soy latte Starbucks comes from...
