Damn right... The worst part about training women for competition is that they have to be willing to accept/acknowledge where they are weak and then in turn work harder to bring these parts up. Granted Ts clothes were on when we met (please no jokes here boys, being serious), but she has a base that most of the girls on stage would do anything for. I dont really see flaws, just areas to perfect and shape so you are much closer than you think.

IMO, since you have a year, lean down to around 14-15% to get a good look at your symmetry and if need be, do a quick bulk (not for excess mass, just to alter as needed) and still have enough time to cut for a potential spring appearance.

keep in mind that the girls who are not in heavyweight are either really short or lacking in some area or another and would be bumped into heavy if they brought those parts into proportion. Dont assume that "Heavy"weight means you look like the she-men who step on stage @ 170lb

I know for sure I have to widen my back/learn to pull out my lats more. Like you mentioned, being tall usually means wider hips, and I sure have em'. I would need a wider back/shoulders to have a true V. Also, I have a load of work to do on glute/ham tie in.

She would be on the low end of Heavy. But with her boulder shoulders and Branch Warren legs and brining her back up she will be carrying home trophies next June. And you can book on that.

    That's a hole lotta volume. I might do a wide/thick split. That's 24 sets.

no, not 3x/week... every 3 weeks... I dont do back often or it gets uncomfortably wide and long (insert joke here), it almost appears to attach to my obliques
