    Bicep question...

Is it bad to do dumbbell curl and preacher curl with ez bar ?

my workout routine for my biceps are this
    •3 sets of preacher curls
•3 sets of standing dumbbell curls
•4 sets of weighted chin-ups with belt

Now I been noticing that my preacher curls are increasing in reps/weight every week.

but i been stuck with ****ING 30 lb's on my dumbbell curl... for the past month.

So... I decided to do dumbbell curls first and I noticed i can do more reps then last time and i came to the conclusion that the preacher curls is what wears down my bicep and prevents me from increasing weight with curls... because im already shot from the preacher curl....

    so my question is...

should i get rid of dumbbell curls and do the dumbbell curl forced negativity instead?

or just do dumbbell curls first? and preacher curl 2nd?

but i did this and i did 4 reps of preacher curl . then 6 reps.. then 4 reps.. when the week b4 i was doing 10 reps...

    getting pissed off.

Switch things up. Dont always do them in the same order and most important FORM.

Do you do your dumbbell curls seated or standing. Concentration curls are good to do frequently also as well as hammer curls once in a while.

Great advice, really isnt any ONE right or wrong way- they all work just not for long.

Biceps are a small muscle grouping and I notice that I hit a plateau that takes a few months to blast through every time there is a small strength gain.

I would do barbell curls as my main movement to attack and fatigue both heads first, but that's just me.

...as far as week to week strength, things can fluctuate between weeks, there are a great deal of variables that can improve or decline your reps or weight by a couple either way. I say track your progress and look back over 4-6 weeks and then you'll see the improvement.

I do the curls standing.. like in this video

My preacher curl weight goes up. But my curls dont..

then i did to the dumbbell curl first and i noticed it was easy with 30 lb's...

so i came to the conclusion that the preacher curl wares me down or hits the same part of my bicep... so perhaps i need to change dumbbell curl with forced negativity... but idk.

edit: also, again, i usually can do more reps with my preacher curl then the previous week. and increase the weight sometimes... so my bicep is getting stronger, but its just that im so tired and used all my strength from the preacher curl when it comes time to do the dumbbell curl...

but thanks guys. i will mix it up and do standing barbell curl every other week instead of seated. every single time..
