sick comback by the mets against the phillies down 5-3 and score 7 runs in the 8th and win the game 11-5

mets pitching isnt very good IMO..very shaky. their offense can just overcome almost any opposing pitcher...so they will be in the mix if their pitching is just ok.
IM A HUGE YANKEE fan...the pitching staff isnt great either, but their offense is pretty sick...AROD will have a monster year. They will be tough to beat if the pitching holds up.
Texas has a good offense....blue jays are scary..Red sox suck, but they will be a pain in the ass once again..Someone needs to throw at Ortiz' head
Atlanta will be pretty good I think..
as always..it will be an interesting year.... thats why I love baseball..

I am a big Bluejays fan and I think we can compete for the division title. However, we have alot of question marks with our pitching staff. Fortunately, the Yankees and Redsox have some question marks with their staff as well just not as much as the Jays. But the Jays bats will keep them in alot of games this year. I wouldnt be surprised to see alot of 10-9 games this year.
Overall, I like the Mets and Phillies in the NL and the Tigers and Twins in the AL. I dont think the AL champion will come from the AL East this year.

and in their first 4 games the only allowed 3 runs they outscored their opponents 31-3, i think only allowing 3 runs in 4 games has a lot to do with pitching

nobody said great but that exact lineup with the exception of pelfry brought the team one game away from the world series and pedro will be back soon
-

mark my words....pedro will NOT be back...& if he does come back..He wont be around long...he was already on the downside of his career b4 the operation...hes not going to come back stronger, thats for sure.

You're right. My Tigers will once again claim that right of "lowest ERA" when all is said and done, and Mr. Kenny Rogers is back in the rotation.

Matsuzaka dude
-

I'm not super-impressed with Matsuzaka. He's not better or more proven on the field than Johan Santana and probably cost as much as three players, which the Sox could've used in their bullpen or having someone other than a man made out of toothpicks running around in their outfield waiting for an injury (J.D. Drew). That guy strikes out looking more than a middle school kid hitting on high school cheerleaders.

Im not making any excuse for the yanks..the got best 3 straight no doubt. It would have been a better series if the yanks had pettite(pitched well),wang & mussina or even pavano to go against schilling beckett & dice k..the pitching better get well fast or the yanks are done.
-
04-23-2007, 08:29 PM #76
the sweep ment nothing. they had their three aces pitching and the yanks had two rookies from double A. plus alot of people forget its still april. this talk happends every april..lol
