i would love to see him back in atlanta. vick is the only hope in the next 10 years for the franchise, there is not another player in the nfl that can make any kind of significant difference for the falcons.

im not worried about him being out of shape, he never trained/lifted weights anyway. and it is not like he is going to loose his feel for the game, since he never really had one anyways. he is going to come back and rely solely on his tallent like he always has....so i welcome him with open arms.

Vick's agent spoke with Goodell and told him that the dogfighting charges were overblown. Lol...like anyone is going to listen to a sleazy sports agent.

I read all 18 pages of that idictment. He finaced his cousins operation and had part in culling out 8 dogs and his methods were unorthidox at best. There is something you have to understand. Dog matching is a culture and a sport to many people and still legal and embraced in many parts of the world. They were born into it. That doesnt make it anymore right or wrong but if you grow up seeing something everyday, its not going to seem wrong to you. I don't fight dogs, but I love reading the old stories of the true warriors and champions. Call me sick or whatever but it interests me. Its funny that the world today gets into two men getting in a cage with 4oz gloves on and beating the shit out of eachother but shuns the site of two dogs in combat. The game dog community looked at these animals as livestock. Not pets. Im talking about the old time before 1976. Now days you have DMX and every other rapper facing off dogs in videos and every kid from the suburbs to the hood thinks its cool to fight them. There is a flood of backyard bred American Pit Bull Terriers and mixes in pounds and shelters. It sucks for the true fancier these days. The media and backyard breeders together have all but condemned this breed of dog that thousands upon thousands of us love. Im not saying what Micheal Vick did was right by any means. He deserves every day he serves. He will return to the NFL though. Like it or not.

To those of us that have had a family dog, yes. It becomes a part of the family and would give its life to protect your family. I could give a shit about Vick. He had the world by the balls and blew it. Hard to feel sorry for him.

vick had several family dogs that were never harmed or abused and probaly took better care of than our dogs. the dogs that he killed were bread for fighting, not for lap dogs. much like race horses that are bread for running. fighting dogs is a sport, just like horse racing. both are natural acts that we just simply provide a facility to and bet on. micheal jordan likes to bet on golf, vick likes to bet on dogs. i have never seen a dog fight, my stomach is to weak, and i have absolutely have no sympathy for MV. he knew what the laws were and broke them. i just cant understand how fighting dogs makes you the scum of the earth. IMO there have been way worse crimes commited by athletes.

When is a lap dog going to give its life to protect its family? A friend of mine had a pitbull and she was very friendly and playful. Although, she would tear anyone to ribbons if they tried to hurt of member of my friends family.

Why don't breeders get in and fight each other if they want to gamble? Big pussies IMO. Have a dog do something that you are too scared to do? Horses don't try to kill each other for the entertainment of some asshats.

Worse crimes? You can say that about most crimes.

They should...but at least they are not having the horses try to kill each other. I think horse racing is a joke. There would be minimal to no interest if it wasn't for gambling.
