    Protein or bust

I have a friend who is almost done with her degree integrated physiology. She claims that your body rejects all excess protein that it cant use immediately, and that your body loses it, which makes since. The thing i have beef with, is that she said the most your body needs is two servings (the size of a deck of cards) of protein per week, and that you shouldnt need to eat meat more than twice. Will someone please elaborate on what she might be talking about? As far as i knew, you can stand up to around 50mgs or protein per serving and you would piss the rest out.

Kind of a dumb thing for her to say, seeing as everyones body is different and not one person reacts the same, it also depends on what you do, if your a lazy average joe you obviously wont need as much protein, but if you workout your body needs to protein to repair muscles, so we will need more protein....
