asprin/acetominophen before or after leg workout?

during every leg workout, i always end up with a headache. don't know why, probably just cause of the tension. i usually take asprin and acetominophen to get rid of it. i normally take it after my leg workouts, but by then, i already have the headache and it takes quite a while to completely go away.

just wondering if it would be alright to take those two before the leg workout or if taking the asprin beforehand might affect my workout due to the blood-thinning properties?

Dude, acetominophen is TYLENOL. Tylenol is one of the worst things for your
    liver. Check it out.

i know, but the combo of aceto and asprin is the only thing that i've found that alleviates my headaches. if there was something easier on the liver that i could use that worked as well i'd take it. till then, this is the best i've got.

the only time i take it though is once a week during my leg workouts. other than that, i avoid painkillers when at all possible.

the reason you get headaches during/after your leg day is because you hold your breath during your lifts. try to start to breathe while lifting and your headaches should go away. good luck.

Tylenol is an NSAID, non steroidal anti inflammatory drug. They're know to inhibit protein synthesis, therefore taking them for a head ache post work out probably isn't doing your muscles any good. Try some hawthorne berry like wolffey said or tough out the head ache. Only time I take Tylenol is when I really feel like shit. Best of luck.

Yes, it can be taken once a week beforehand without debilitating effects.
The blood thinning would actually benefit your workout permitting more blood to circulate slightly faster to the stimulated muscle group. This is common in ECA users who also employ vasodilators; they get a two-fold effect from both the widening and the thinning.

I’d never recommend it on a regular basis, but once a week would be fine. I’d also, as the others above have done, look into the source of your headaches:
    • Do you perform inverted (head lower than feet) movements, if so try a session without them.
    • Do you go extremely heavy? If so, perform a moderate weight, faster paced session.
