Should I try Vitamin B12?
Hey guys, I have a little energy problem. I have tried to sleep all different times a night, like 6, 8, 10, but however long I sleep I am still extremely tired during the day! I sleep between 8-10hrs per night, anything less and I'm screwed. Then after the gym, I'm even worse, I could crash at 8 every night. I got my thyroid checked and it was good and I eat a well balnced diet. Should I try the injectable B12? What would you recommend for a dosage? Thanks

Go to the doctor first, you may have mononucleosis or something similar. Possible enemia. But you can start B12 at 500mcg per day. I take 1000mcg per month.

Well I've had this problem for a long time and have got blood work done on multiple occassions just to make sure. Everything is in check, that's what I find weird! I have thought of the possibilty of anemia, but again, everyhting checked out good

I'm the same way. I need at LEAST 8 hours of solid sleep or I am worthless the next day. I've tried injectable b12 but didn't seem to notice a difference.

I'm not on a cycle at the moment, probably not for another few months. I don't think that I'm over sleeping because like I said have tried sleeping less (you know, like 6 hrs or 8, for a month at a time) but it never seemed to make a difference. Thanks for the replies. I think I will give the B12 a shot and see if I notice anything.

b12 does help some, but not everyone. personally, i noticed no change after supplementing inject b-12, and i'm using it at 2000mcg/week. i have gotten other benefits from it, including better pumps in the gym and being able to push myself harder before failure, but no extra energy whatsoever.
you may just have chronic fatigue syndrome. could be caused by a number of different things and can be very difficult to treat. i have it myself, though seems not quite as bad as you do.

i'm the same way...i feel like i could just stay in bed all day. i get 10 hrs sleep, i don't work hard, except working out at the gym, and i still walk around tired all the time. i go out to the club and just stand there instead of dancing b/c i don't feel like even moving around. i'm thinking bout trying this...i seen some at walmart that said b12, but was a pill. i'm hearing guys talking about injecting this or cutting it with ur propeniate. is this even the same thing??

Like said b4, there are A LOT of factors that can cuase this and heard to pinpoint...
Not mentioned...sometimes our sleep is not as QUALITY as we think...Like if you're not in a deep sleep for the majority of the night or a really light sleeper, we might not be getting fully recharged.
I think I'm going to look into B12 myself and maybe look more closely at the sleep issues.

Taking b12 orally is inefficient. The intestines only absorb a little bit, sublingual is better, but injection is 100%.
