    Protein/Carb Shake v.s. Protein Isolate

I currently use massgainer shakes (Redbak XXXL Gainer - aussie brand) that is 40g protein / 36g carbs. Most isolates I have seeen come with about 30g protein.
Anyone have any opinions on which is better? Why?

    If it's relevant, my stats:
    Age: 21 in a month
    Weight: ~75kg
    Height: ~5'11
    BFI: 12%
    Goal: Bulk
    Been training for: 1.5 years

I've got the fairly low BFI because Ive always had a pretty high metabolism and been a little skinny bitch, and train intense muay thai 4 times a week (massive cardio sessions). So yeh, apart from al that crud, which do you prefer... mass gainers or isolates?

IMO, I would think that isolate would be good 30 minutes pre-workout. Especially since there are no fast digesting carbs, which is good pre-workout. Also, Isolate at night with a shake before bed would be good, however, I would go half and half with casein protein, for slower digestion. Thats my $.02.
