    HGH Cycle/Dosage Questions

Hi guys, realise this is my first post, so I'll give you guys some background.

    Male, 24, 6'0", 155lbs.

I have a disorder called graves disease, search for it on wikipedia for more info.

I've been working out for a little over 3 years now, and this is the heaviest I've ever been in my life, due to the disorder. Fortunately I don't have any of the abnormal physical manifestations: bulging eyes, irritable skin, goiter etc. But my thyroid is ridiculously over-active and I cannot put on weight.

To give you an idea - I eat approximately 5500kcal per day with a 2:1 protein:lb diet, my weight fluxuates no more than 1kg in either direction, no matter what I do. Recently I've developed chronic insomnia, weak musculature and ridiculous irritability, prompting me to go get my thyroid levels tested for probably the 50th time in my life.

This time the doctor proposed something new: Human Growth Hormone Treatment, he hadn't advised it before due to my age, but thinks now that I am "adult" the treatment would be suitable for my condition. So far he hasn't prescribed anything, he wants to wait for the test results to come back in before recommending exact brands/dosages but I did ask the question and he mentioned an injectible such as Nutropin or Genotropin with an insulin supplement.

Having been interested in body building since I was about 15, I'll admit, this kind of excited me and brought a smile to my face. I've asked him flat out, whether or not I can use steroids and other supplements since I can't put on weight naturally and for a number of reasons he seems to think I'd have a much greater chance of negative effects. Whereas HGH is a normal treatment for the disorder.

Inevitably he is going to recommend a ridiculously small dose, not aimed at physical improvement and centric to my medical needs. Whereas I'd like to try and achieve both.

I've researched and looked around as much as possible, and everywhere seems to have a different opinion on dosages, I was wondering if anyone with first hand experience or with an idea of what someone in my position would need to dose for physical results would need to use? (first time user, low base weight etc.)

Keep in mind this is fully subsidised due to my medical need... so cost isn't an issue, and I've already checked out whether or not increasing the dosage can harm me in anyway subject to my medical condition - it cannot, in fact it works in my favor since I wont be needing to supplement as much thyroid or insulin as others on extended high dosage cycles. I've seen everything from 1 - 2iu, twice a day (once on wake up, once before bed) to 8 to 16 per day... which is really confusing since you don't really know who to listen to. A lot of these dosage recommendations also factor in the use of a steroid simultaneously, which as previously stated I wont be able to do.

Any help or advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated and before anyone points out the obvious - I wont ask my doctor (even though he's generally really cool with this kinda stuff) because I don't want to risk losing the script. Not because I'm hell bent on physical improvement, but because I really want the other symptoms to go away, this is just trying to research whether or not I can kill 2 birds with one stone.

Thanks for your help and understanding - apologies for the novel length post.
