Mass / Weight Gainer Advice
Hey,
Im looking for some advice from mass / weight gaining supplements, Ive always found it hard putting on weight but in the last month ive sorted out my diet with help from this site and the people on it.
But now im looking for a supplement to aid this process, now to be honest im pretty clueless when it comes to this matter. Ive had a look on ebay and various other sites but there is so many out there i dont know were to start or what im looking at.
I was hoping to get a 5kg tub so i dont have to buy it every month but im also looking for somthing that will last me, i dont want to pay £40 for somthing that i will need more of in a month or is this normal? Also im a bit unsure on taste is there anywere i can pick up some cheap / free samples ?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Kind regards
Phill

If you just got your diet in check a month ago you should give it some more time and see what kind of results you get. Have you gained any weight in the last month?

Hey sprinter,
Cheers for your fast reply, and ye ive gained about 3pounds from the diet and working out 6 days a week but im guessing due to all the exercise i do with Weightlifting, cycling everywere and doing muay thai im burning alot of it.
The gainer is just to give me that extra i need when i cant get a meal ie. conveniance, plus ive been told weight gainers aswell as helping with cals and protein they help with recovery this may be incorrect.

I was stuck in a shake rut for a while due to convenience. I'd have a few a day but when I switched to whole foods for protein I started noticing I was gaining quicker. I still have a shake mid morning with a cup of oats and a banana mixed in, one PWO (whey) and one right before bed (casein and low fat cottage cheese). I think it's going to take a little time to really dial in your diet but if you gained 3 lbs in the last month (without gear) then I think you're on the right track. Be patient. And with all that cardio your doing in addition to weight training I suspect you might not be eating enough. Good luck bro. So far so good...

Ye i will continue to eat as much as i possible can if clean foods, But shakes are basically for the odd times when i cant make a meal or im in a hurry, im also looking to try some of the recipes in the diet sector. So im definatly looking to get hold of one could you get me any direction and advice?
Im far to small to start taking gear so its not an option and i havent been weightlifting for long enough im currently at the 11st mark at 6ft tall which is terrible

HawaiianPride posted a protein shake recipe thread a earlier this week. Check it out. He has a ton of recipes listed. Great stuff. I'm sure you'll see alot you'd like to try.

I like Cytogainer. Haven't used it in a while but that's my recommendation. Hope that helps...

^^ Cytogainer IMO is the best out there. Doesnt give stomach problems, has good macros, good price, and if taken twice a day provides 6g creatine mono

Thank guys im looking to buying some now, Im a bit confused when it comes to Servings per tub, for a 2.7kg tub it says 18 does this means its 18 shakes worth meaning it will last 6 days or is this 18days worth with there recommendation. Im kinda behind on cash at the moment so cant affort £35 every 6 - 10 days haha
Also is there anywere i can pick up some samples of Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass and CytoGainer, dont want to waste the cash on somthing that tastes terrible?Last edited by Phill.C; 07-29-2010 at 07:08 PM.
