Vitamin D3 injectable or Oral?
Not suprising I have a D deficiency and my Dr. said I need to start taking a Vitamin D supplement. He said that this vitamin gets stored in your fat and takes a while to accumulate and taking an oral Vitamin D supplement your body doesn't absorb it much at all and most will be wasted even after 6 months of supplemention. He recommended doing a D3 injectible for the fact that your body will absorb it 100 times better and more effeciently. Just curious what the real truth is and if it's worth the investment to go injectable vs. oral?
Thanks.

Orals work just fine, imho. Everything you need to know about D is here:

Just don't over-do it as it is fat soluble as stated and can be toxic if levels become excessive.

He said that because you will need a script from him to get it

Rarely would anyone need injections.
