Muscle spasm from too much Tongkat Ali, Ashgwanda and Tribulus? I capped my caffeine-

    Hello,

I've been natural for about 6 months--I'm natty

    Title:
Muscle spasm from too much Tongkat Ali, Ashgwfanda and Tribulus? I capped my caffeine intake to 300 to 400 mgs per day

and I quit energy drinks for 90 days, so far

I have been taking Tongkat Ali, Ashagwanda and Tribulus, maybe a bit too much or all in unison at suggested doses

Last night I had this weird spasm on the left side of my face that actually woke me up

The way it went away was when I ingested 0.5 mgs of Klonipin a benzo in the valium family

    Anyone experience this?

So, I had this type of feeling during the day in the crazy summer of the year 2020, but in my eye area near my eyelid, that went away too since 2020 after I cut down on caffeine

Thanks to the advice of some members like LoveByts, AlmostGone, Wango, and some others, my Caffeine intake was too high at 600 to 800 mgs of caffeine in 2020, 2021 and thankfully, since 2022, I've capped caffeine at the suggested dose of 400 mgs per day

Since last night 3 am after taking the Klonipin, it hasn't reoccured but other parts of my bod have minor spasms

Body spasms, and a face spasm on my left side
Could this weird spasm be non-supplement-oriented and that the deep knee bends which I've been also doing to naturally increase Testosterone , and barbell squats also and pushups have made minor spasms throughout my body and this is nothing to worry about?

Some of you all have taken stronger stuff like Clen or other stimulants and might have gotten these spasm in the face, IDK,

im just looking for this answer, becasue theere is nothing on the internet--- the only connection between Herbs and Spasms (even the keyphrase "too many herbs + spasm" is the herbal supplement to help treat spasms-- chamomile

    Thanks for any constructive help....thanks

None of the above is relevant to your spasms. Caffeine, Ashwagandha, etc... have nothing to do with spasms in the face. Not sure how old you are but face spasms aren't common in younger people. Facial spasms, if they happen, generally occur with folks in their late 40's and older.

If you can't live with it. You should see a doctor if you are concerned, they will likely request an MRI. If a doctor recommends Botox treatments, know that it's multiple annual treatments and for many years. It works and relieves the problem but only for mere months, hence the repetitiveness.

Anticonvulsants work, which is why you saw improvement after the medication you took. You should research effects of long term use.

Most data you see relating to causes will flood web pages with words like Stress, Anxiety, etc... while those types of symptoms can increase the impact or frequency, they are not the cause whatsoever. You either have an injury that caused this, or are an unfortunate person who has a blood vessel that is too close to a nerve.

    Best of luck to you.
