That's some really great info. I've always been afraid of deadlifting and squats because I thought I might get hurt. I'm gonna definitely try out deadlifting now with this advice. I go to a sports club/ spa and I rarely see guys deadlifting and the ones that do rep it out. There is one guy that is a clear powerlifter and I'll ask him for some advice next time I see him.

Squats and Deadlifts are an absolute MUST for anyone serious about training. With proper form and if you don't go too heavy...chances are that you will not get hurt. Form is everything. These are 2 full body exercises that just help with anything you are trying to accomplish and are the top 2 exercises that anyone can do. My gym is the same way. besides myself, there is only 2 other guys that I have seen deadlifting and I am the only one who does it on a regular basis. Do yourself a favor and start doing them! You will love the results.

Start with a 45 on each side and take it from there to see what you can handle. For example.... my current deadlift day looks like this and kicks my a$$...I start with lighter sets (315) and do 10-12 reps. Then 2 sets of 405 8 reps. 1 set 495 6 reps. 1 set 3 reps 585. Some workouts I will try to hit my max 1 rep which on a good day I can pull 655. Then I go back down to 495...405...315 doing as many reps as I can while keeping good form. Somedays I will skip the heavy sets at 585/655 and just start to go back down after I pull the 495 set and get more reps with the lighter weights. I like to mix it up.

That guy is an idiot, but I have to admit I am impressed that he got it up....he is a very small dude! Those curls he is doing are ridiculous. I would not even call them curls......more like standing rows.....
