I personally prefer dumbell presses since your shoulders are not locked in a movement like with barbell presses. But don't worry too much, either of them are good exercises. Just incorporate one or the other and you'll be fine.

I find I get more strength by switching it up about ever 4-6 weeks, dumbells have also helped me get more definition.

i perfer barbell but thats my personal opinion, it's more comfortable to me. I would do whichever your most comfortable with, and possible switching after a few weeks.

Db press because it stresses all 3 heads more efficiently than barbell press!

I like to switch it up when i go heavy and use standing barbell at the power rack so i can cheat on those last few reps using my legs. Otherwise i do seated Db on reg days.
