okay to have pwo shake after cardio?

i wanted to do weight training and then after do some cardio, i am wanting to really cut down but still be able to grow a little bit, but i was wondering if it would be bad to have a pwo shake after my cardio, or even weight train, pwo shake and then cardio?

or is it a bad idea to do cardio after a work out. 30 min around 65% mhr

Carb or Protien? It's never a bad time for protein. If you want some sugar after cardio eat a banana..You really only need a carb drink after lifting weights or Slin/IGF...

With your goals in mind, I'd SEPERATE the cardio FROM the weight training.

It's never ideal to mix anaerobics w/aerobics, as you greatly reduce the desired benefits of both when you do so.

What kind of PWO nutrition should be used after cardio? Is it the same as after lifting? (2:1 of Carb./Pro.)

Well since you are looking to cut down then it is definitely in your best interest to do your 30 minutes at THR PWO. So 65% as you listed is fine. The reson is b/c hopefully throughout your weight training you will be able to burn whatever glucose you had stored. Then when it comes to cardio you should be able to dip in those fats stores as that will be your bodies secondary source of energy. That will help lose some BF.
If you're afraid of losing a little muscle just pop a few BCAA's right before you get on that treadmill and another few when down with you PWO shake

    L-Leucine
    L-Isoleucine
    L-Valine

Are 3 fundamental AA that will help preserve muscle. I always try too look at it as if they put up a wall infront of your muscle. So that when all glucose is burned up then the body will turn to fat and not dip into Muscle. If it does then the BCAA's will be eaten up instead of hard earned muscle.
