What's the best workout Abs out there?
I heard that sex is an amazing workout for female lower abdomen.
It works the hamstrings and deltoids, but can really develop good strength in the abdomen and lower abdomen . Lol, Is this true?
anywayz, what's the best workout abs out there that really works?
Input would be appreciated!

Oh its you...I didn't know you bothered working out...
The best workouts for the upper abs include upside down hanging crunches and decline crunches. The lower abs are only really contracted isometrically because there is no pelvic movement, which is what the lower abs and obliques are used for. Although the lower abs and upper abs are one muscle, they cover such a large area that they are responsible for different movements. The lower abs flex the pelvis and spine, while the upper abs simply flex the spine.
The best workouts for the lower abs include hanging leg raises (although this will work your upper abs quite well too) and incline leg-hip raises as long as you tilt your pelvis towards your chest, otherwise your lower abs are only contracting isometrically. These raises will develop the lower part of your obliques that attach to the hip as well as the tensor fasciae latae on the bottom part of your hips. Therefore your hips will get wider from a front and rear view, HOWEVER, since that is attractive in a woman that's alright. For a guy its not a good idea.
Also the stability ball crunch is a good one for overall abdominal strength and flexibility.
Sex probably increases muscular endurance but not strength. It will also burn a lot of calories...Last edited by Flexor; 12-21-2005 at 12:12 PM.

ha ha. Ivy the best workout for abs is the automatic stomach stabilizer. Haven't you seen the infomercial on it? Just use it in the house all day and you'll have rock, solid abs. Walking the dog, on the computer, eating etc...
Here is what I do for abs.
one arm side bend overs 3 sets of 25
rope crunches 3 sets of 25
that's it!!!!

lying leg raises is actually one of the best ways i work my abs.
In all seriousiness i can get and maintain a 6 pack by only doing these.. position yourself with yourself lying back on a bench, ass to the edge and lift your legs up and down.
I do 60 of these every 3 days..it's the only ab work i do. If you need a bit of an extra edge, have someone push your legs for u to add a bit of tension.
