    current workout trying to get toned and lose some weight

    5am run for 40 mins

    6:30 eating oatmeal drinking protein

    10:30 natural peanut butter on slice of bread

    12:30 2 cans of tuna little mayo n mustard

    3:30 natural peanut butter on slice bread

    6:00 pm run 40 mins

    6:45 workout mostly curls 2-3 times a week also bentrow, triceps then abs all of these are 4 sets of 10 except for abs 3 excersices four sets

    7:00 PROTEIN SHAKE chicken breast greenbeans

    I wouldnt run...check out the cutting stickies at the top of the diet forum for a diet line up...

    Yea no such thing as toned. And I see you only workout for 15 mins and most of that is curls? instead of that second run hit the gym for 55 mins a day. you can't "tone" what you don't have.

    It was hard for me to quit running because I like it so much but once I did and focused on lifting more I saw way better results .As the other bros said stop running and replace it with more lifting youll be glad you did ..AC

    i really was not thinking and i don't workout for 15 mins its more like 50-55 mins after running and don't know y i said i want to get toned i want to bulk but have to lose n more weight first current bodyfat is 20.3 % it actually dropped since i finished football i'm 5'9 245 18 yrs old and my coach thinks i'm on something cuz my neck is huge thanks to neck machine and arms 2 thanks to curls and losing weihgt slowly but losing so now i'm done with football i just wanna get big but really need to lose weight first i work out 5 times a week run everyday for 40-50 mins sometimes twice a day but at least once sorry people wasn't thinking i notice now when i looked at wat i wrote pure dumb thanks for at least looking at my trash

    ok...use a freaking period. i cannot read that shit and i am nineteen, 10 years into instant messenger usage. please dude, if you want intelligent people to read your threads write it in such a way that it is easily understood. nobody wants to waste time trying to figure out where everything begins and ends.


    now....run after, not before. the best time is pre breakfast
    * split your body into at least 3-4 zones, ex: back and bis, chest and tris, legs and calves, shoulders, or any variation of these.
    *check out the cutting sticky in the diet section. follow this religiously
    * dont focus so acutely on bodyfat loss that you do it at the expense of muscle. when you begin eating right alot of muscle will appear, even during a diet phase, at least this was my experience. that muscle accelerates your metabolism, making it easier to lose bf
    *squat, deadlift, row, bench, and press, stick to core compound movements that build mass. you only need to do curls once or twice a week. any more and you are one of those wimps we make fun of for not knowing what the hell they are doing

    good luck, spend your time reading all the stickies at the tops of the diet and workout forums. in the next couple days, establish a baseline diet, baseline goals and a working routine. post them all in the open forums and take the critisicm, it will take you farther than youve ever dreamed when you get this right. the hardest thing for me to accept when i first got on here was that i knew nothing. and i had been looking into this stuff for a while. but fact is, i knew nothing, neither do you, and you have to learn. with that said, there is no better place to learn it. start now. do searches for every question you have before posting. i really hope you do well, this is all and all of the best advice i could give you.

    you need to be sure and work every body part in order to get big...your body is constantly trying to achieve proportion...Its hard enough to make your body big when it doesnt want to be anyway...THIS INCLUDES LEGS...

    yea i put off legs and my upper body stopped growing. They are really lagging but after two months they are coming around and my upper body is starting to grow again. I love legs now.
