flat bench (give me a lift)

does it matter if you get a lift from a bro and tare it up afterwards or is more beneficial to lift off the bar yourself with lighter weight in general. i bench heavy and itzzz no baby weight either. i am looking for more chest size at the moment

i dont take a bump from my spotter unless i am maxing out
i dont really think it matters, i don't count lifting the bar off the rack for a rep anyways

I prefer to do it myself and have the spotter take it when I fail only. I like to be as independent as possible. That's why it bugs me when people have spotters pass DB's to them for pressing.

if i get a lift and do a rep that rep is counted in, why wouldn't it be a full rep?
when i do my own lift offs, i do less reps. at times i can't lift that shit off, but can do at least 4 reps with that weight.

i am hovering in 400's lbs club, so to me lift offs are a must, but i was curious if you lifting the bar yourself induces on more chest growth in the long run.

doubtful, i mean i lift it myself all the way up to 400lbs its after the 400lb mark that i always get a lift, i am always told my chest and abs are superior to everything else on me

sometimes if the bench is too low i need a lift of other times if it's higher i don't. it doesn't really effect the lift your are still lowering it and raising it your self
